With pride we can announce that just like last year Base Logistics was awarded as one of the Best Managed Companies (BMC) 2015. For you as our customer this means that our customers do business with a solid organization that works hard to be able to offer the best service.

Jury report
In the report the jury gets straight to the point: “Absolutely BMC!”. The report even says that there really are no weaknesses in strategy, management, and the culture of the company. “In our opinion the company is very well organized – including the vision, processes, culture and financially – and it seems it will only get better in the next few years.” In terms of employership Base Logistics also scores very high, according to the jury: “Base Logistics aims to attract and bind the best people by performing better than other employers in terms of employment, culture and training.” The members of the jury also states in the report: “Very IT driven, very nice figures, solid organization.” About the culture in our organization: “Very focused on innovation and development of (new) services to customers. On average the jury rated us with a 9.

Flexibility
The jury commended our organization: “Base Logistics is clearly ahead of its competitors in the market and its management strives to improve business processes year after year.” This year the focus of the BMC jury was mainly on the flexibility of the nominees. Robin Voet, CEO of Base Logistics, reacted enthusiastically to the news: “Some prices are pretty nice to win, but are no indication for the reliability of a company. Winning the title Best Managed Company does. Our company has a stable base, with good management and is flexible enough to be able to grow in the long term.

Background
Base Logistics was subject to the ING Stress test and Deloitte also reviewed our company on the basis of the Business Maturity Model (BMM). ING shared strategic and financial insights with our management and discussed how they meet the strategic plans of the organization. With the scientific model BMM Deloitte measured the quality of strategy and management. Robin Voet: “The fact that we belong to the Best Managed Companies in the Netherlands this year once again indicates that we are a company with a progressive and strategic view of the future.”
The Best Managed Company program was set-up in The Netherlands by Deloitte and ING in collaboration with Management Team and ECE/RMS. The 2015 program is the 8th edition. This year, Base Logistics joined the program for the second time.
