In the field of Commodity Codes (also known as HS codes, Nomenclature and Tariff Codes) many changes were implemented on 1 January 2017. Because of these changes you may have to adjust your records and systems accordingly.

If you previously received BTI’s for HS codes that have now been revised, you must also re-apply for them. Since 1 May 2016 Binding Tariff Information (BTI) MUST be used in your declaration. Please provide us with this reference number should you have one and/or make sure that this number is clearly stated on the commercial invoice.
