To our astonishment, on Wednesday 7 september 2016 we received the terrible news that our colleague Toine Ekelschot had passed away.

We are shocked by the loss of our colleague, who has worked with us for so many years.

Toine was very much appreciated by us, as a person and as a colleague.Toine started at Base Logistics in February 2008 at the Control Tower, after which he helped set up our office in Curaçao, where he worked for 9 months. Back at our headquarters in Zwijndrecht he was a Troubleshooter. Toine has always played an important role in the training of new employees and he also made them familiar with our processes and culture.

We are deeply saddened by the news of Toine’s death and we will miss his cordiality, his sense of humour and his tireless hard work enormously.
